Shelters which took in displaced pets

Hundreds of animal shelters across the country have received displaced animals since Hurricane Ike. Many of these shelters have adopted pets that were affected by the storm. But they are also making room for more. Some are even donating their own supplies so that they can care for these new pets. If you're considering adopting a pet, consider donating to an animal shelter that has taken in displaced animals in the past.
